Wilfred Ndidi, a Super Eagles defensive midfielder, has praised Austine Eguavoen for the Super Eagles’ impressive performance at the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations.
He explained that Eguavoen’s change in Nigeria’s playing pattern enabled many players to perform to their full potential.
The midfielder stated that the Super Eagles will not underestimate Tunisia in their Sunday match.
“We are here to compete and win games,” he said at a press conference on Saturday. “There is no distinction between this game and the others we’ve played here.” It’ll be the same approach and mentality.
“We’ll keep going.” The team is the same, but the philosophy is different. “Our current manager simplifies things for us.
“The coach encourages and allows us to express ourselves. That is the distinction between 2019 and now.”
