Chief Sunday Adeniyi Adegeye, a legendary Nigerian Juju-Afro Pop musician and songwriter known as King Sunny Ade, slapped a backup singer who tried to collect money during his event.
In a viral video posted on Instagram on Monday, March 21, 2022, the artist was seen jokingly slapping and kicking a backup singer who was scooping up the money that had been sprayed on him.
The performer took the money and put it in his pocket.

King Sunny Ade is widely regarded as one of the first African pop musicians to achieve international acclaim and has been dubbed one of the world’s most influential musicians.
In 1967, he formed his backing band, which became known as African Beats. Sunny Ade signed to Island Records in 1982 after achieving national success in Nigeria during the 1970s and founding his independent label, and achieved international success with the albums Juju Music (1982) and Synchro System (1983), the latter earning him a Grammy nomination, a first for a Nigerian artist.
