How My Government Will Tackle Unemployment – Tinubu

President Bola Tinubu has revealed how his administration plans to tackle rising unemployment in Nigeria.

According to the president, the Federal Government of Nigeria will establish industrial hubs to accelerate job creation to address the issue of unemployment in the country.

He disclosed this at the 55th International Conference of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management (CIPM) in Abuja.

The president, who was represented by Nkiru Onyejeocha, the Minister of State for Labour and Employment, said, “We envision an unprecedented level of industrial activity, marked by the establishment of unique industrial hubs tailored to the strengths of each region in our great nation.”

He also reiterated the Federal Government’s commitment to end poverty, insisting that this was deeply intertwined with its focus on economic growth and job creation.

He added, “We recognise that sustainable development can only be achieved by fostering an environment where job opportunities abound, ensuring food security and eradicating poverty.

“In the pursuit of our vision, inclusivity is paramount, we’Il prominently feature women and youth in all our endeavours, recognising them as integral contributors to our nation’s success.”
