Jim Iyke, a Nigerian actor and filmmaker, revealed how the family of a Muslim woman he dated tried to prevent them from marrying.
Iyke said in an interview with lifestyle and celebrity blogger Zionfelix on the Uncut Show that bringing Christians and Muslims together under one roof is difficult since each religion has its thoughts and reasons for defending its principles.
The movie actor stated that he was unable to settle down with his Muslim lover since the lady’s family’s powerful members obstructed the relationship.
When asked about his role in the upcoming film “Zongo Boys,” Iyke said that some of his family members have been in similar situations.
He did, however, restated his belief that religion should not be a barrier to two people of different faiths marrying.
