Former Chief Judge of Anambra State, Peter Umeadi, has suggested that political solution is the best way to resolve the case of Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB.

Addressing journalists on Sunday in Abuja, Umeadi said Kanu’s case should best be resolved politically and not legally.

According to the 2023 presidential candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, the Biafra agitator’s release would bring an end to insecurity in the Southeast.

According to him: “Well, the issue of insecurity in the South East first of all, it has been said before and I agree, for now, it is a serious matter.

“If it is solved, then that is good. The problem, if it is not solved, then you begin to look for another reason why it is still there.

“But for now everybody is saying it and I agree that the issue of Nnamdi Kanu should be treated as a political matter, not a legal matter.

“So if he regains his freedom, perhaps that will be the end of what we are seeing in the South East now, perhaps.”
