The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Kano command has apprehended 32 individuals suspected of looting shops in the Sabon Gari area of Fagge Local Government.

According to Corps Commandant Mohammad Falala, the suspects were arrested in various locations, including Sabon Gari, Bata, France Road, and Murtala Mohammed Way.

Additionally, operatives recovered stolen items from hoodlums at Gyadi Gyadi, Kano, with the assistance of good Samaritans.

The recovered items, allegedly stolen during protests on Thursday at State Road and Iyaka Road, are now in NSCDC custody.

Falala urged residents to provide information to aid in apprehending those involved in looting public and private buildings.

He added that the NSCDC, in collaboration with other security agencies, will intensify patrols to ensure the arrest of miscreants who engaged in destructive activities during the protests.

Furthermore, legal actions will be taken against those found culpable once investigations are completed.
