Hunters Nab Five Suspected Kidnappers in Kogi

A group of professional hunters have apprehended a five-man kidnap gang in Kogi State.

The suspects, were arrested in an early morning operation at Atami, in Okehi Local Government Area on Tuesday, September 27.

The suspects are identified as Tukur Saleh, Ahmadu Sanni, Yusuf Sanni, all from Bauchi; Abubakar Saleh (Baba Wuro) and Isah Saleh, both from Kano State.

Confirming the arrest, the Senior Assistant to Okehi Local Government chairman, Hon Abdulraheem Ohiare Ozovehe on Media & Publicity, King Habib, said that the gang have been known for terrorizing the Okene-Lokoja road and Okene-Auchi road of Kogi State.

He also revealed In the statement that the suspects are currently with the security agencies, and more investigations are ongoing.

“We shall leave no stone unturned in a bid to rid Okehi LGA and our environs of all forms of criminality,” Hon Ohiare said.
