Emeka Nwogbo, the teacher who was accused of flogging a 19-month-old baby to death in Delta state has denied the allegation.

Emeka who spoke to newsmen after a delegation of the state government visited the state police command said he flogged the late Obinna the child like he would flog a baby.

” I flogged him like a baby” he said

When asked why he flogged the child, he said the child was beaten because he pushed another child who hit his head on the ground.

The state police commissioner, CP Ari Muhammed Ali, while giving a statement said a post mortem will be conducted to determine the cause of death.
