Nigerian music superstar, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido has cleared the air about asking fans to donate money to him.
Davido, who appeared as a guest on CNN’S Exchange said he only asked his friends and those who he has worked with in the past to give him money for his birthday.

Speaking to Zain Asher from Ghana, Davido expressed surprised at the turnout of individuals who gave him money for his birthday.
He explained: “I never said donate money to me, I said ‘if you’re my friend give me money’.”
The singer said the whole initiative started as a joke, with even ordinary fans participating.
