I Was Not Arrested — Portable

Controversial artiste, Habeeb Okikiola, AKA, Portable has refuted claims stating how he was arrested by the police.

Portable said he was not arrested by police in Ogun State but only honoured their invitation by going to the station.

Portable said the supposed assault on the authorities by him was a mere allegation.

The singer further promised
proper investigation would be conducted into that claim.

This development was contained in a statement issued through his Instagram page.

It read;

Remain calm as everything is in control. We writing this for those reaching out to us Portable wasn’t arrested he went to the police station himself to honor the invitation of the police.

“Police is our friend we trust and believe the force will carry out their investigations and everything will be done appropriately We are positive that all will go well as he is with the commissioner of police (CP) and the issue is being (sic) attended to.”

Earlier reports had stated that the Ogun State police command arrested Portable for refusing to honour their summons.

His arrest supposedly came following the expiration of a 72-hour ultimatum given to him by the police.

An up-and-coming musician, Manny Monie had filed a petition against Portable, according to reports.

It was learnt that Monie had a falling out with his boss, Portable in November 2022 after the latter assaulted him for allegedly using another distributor.
