The Anambra State Police Command has arrested a self-acclaimed pastor identified as Uchenna Chukwuma (21), for the alleged murder of Oliver Chukwudi Ugwu (60), a native doctor, in Umusiome Nkpor, Idemili North Local Government Area of the state.
Chukwuma who hails from Amagunze, in Nkanu East Local Government Area of Enugu state, claimed he was sent by God to kill Chukwudi Ugwu.
The incident occurred on Thursday, September 3, 2020.

According to Chukwuma’s statement, the deceased, Chukwudi Ugwu, was a spiritual hindrance to him as he is not able to progress financially.
The deceased was found in his pool of blood by the police on rush to the incident scene.
He was thereafter taken to Iyi Enu hospital, where he was confirmed dead.
While the deceased body has been deposited at the morgue, further investigations has commenced as the suspect will be duly prosecuted if found guilty within the law.
