The new Imo State Commissioner of Police, CP Mohammed Ahmed Barde has expressed his readiness to explore modern intelligence and tactical strategies to tackle crimes in the state.
The new CP, who took over from Rabiu Hussaini, promised to consolidate and improve on the achievements recorded by his predecessors.
Barde made these known on Tuesday at the Command Headquarters in, Owerri.

In a statement made available to joirnalists by the Command’s spokesman, CSP Michael Abattam, the new CP said,” I would explore modern intelligence and tactical strategies that would guarantee adequate security in the state.”
He made it known that Barde who hails from Niger State, “was enlisted into the Force in March 1990, as a Cadet Assistant Superintendent of Police. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree (B.Sc) in Political Science from the prestigious Usman Danfodio University and a Masters Degree in Peace and Conflict Resolution.
He added, “CP Mohammed Ahmed Barde was the Commissioner of Police, Force Criminal Intelligence Investigation Department (FCIID) Annex, Enugu and until his recent posting to Imo State Police Command, he was the Commissioner of Police, Adamawa State Command. His dint of hard work and professionalism in the job has earned him many accolades.”

“He is a passionate, versatile and experienced Police Officer, who has served the Force meritoriously in various capacities and in different Commands and Formations.
“He served as Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of Administration in Nigeria Police Academy Wudil, Kano State and Police College Jos, Plateau State respectively. Also, he was the Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of Operations, Borno State Command.”
