Governor Bello Matawalle of Zamfara, has vowed not to hold dialogue with bandits anymore.

Matawalle said he would no longer grant the terorrists amnesty, noting that they had spurned the olive branch once extended to them.

The governor while speaking in Gusau, said that instead, security forces would flush them out of the state.

“My administration will no longer grant amnesty to bandits as they have failed to embrace the peace initiative earlier extended to them,’’

He urged residents of the state to be patient and to support new security measures put in place to tackle bandits.

Matawalle disclosed that the onslaughts against bandits by security forces had made them send their emissaries to inform him that they had repented and would want to dialogue with government.
