The President said his government remains determined to protect the rights of Nigerians to practise their religion freely and without fear, regardless of belief or background.
“As your President, I remain committed to doing everything within my power to enshrine religious freedom in Nigeria and to protect all people of different faiths from violence,” Tinubu said.
He noted that throughout the year, the Federal Government has maintained continuous engagement with leaders of Nigeria’s major faiths, especially in response to concerns over religious intolerance and insecurity.

“We will build on these conversations to strengthen collaboration between government and religious institutions, prevent conflict, and promote peaceful coexistence,” the President stated.
Tinubu described Christmas as more than a celebration, saying it serves as a reminder of Christ’s message of peace, love, and goodwill to humanity.
“May the love of Christ and His message of grace, hope, peace, and goodwill abide with us all,” he added.
The President also acknowledged the role of Christians in national development, praising their contributions to caring for the vulnerable and promoting harmony in society.
“We honour those who, following the example of Jesus, work tirelessly to promote peace, tolerance, and unity in their communities,” Tinubu said.
Reiterating his administration’s security agenda, Tinubu assured Nigerians that protecting lives, unity, and stability remains a top priority.
“All Nigerians have the right to live, worship, and pursue their aspirations in safety and dignity,” he declared.
As Nigerians travel during the festive season, the President urged citizens to exercise patience and discipline on the roads, wishing travellers safe journeys and peaceful returns.
He expressed optimism about the country’s future, stating that with faith and collective effort, Nigeria will continue on the path of growth and unity.
