Barcelona defender and captain, Gerard Pique, has reiterated his hatred for eternal rivals, Real Madrid, saying he would rather die than join Los Blancos.

Pique, who has enjoyed a successful spell with the Catalan club stated this during an interview ahead of Barcelona’s clash with Real Betis.

Quizzed on what it would take to sign for Real Madrid by Spanish television show El Homiguero told, Pique said “It’s absolutely impossible.

“There’s nothing. I would rather die than go to Madrid,” he added with a smile.

The former Manchester United star so far has won eight La Liga titles, seven Copa del Rey trophies, and three UEFA Champions League crowns.

He has also won the Euros and World Cup with Spain.
