‘I Wrote my Dreams For the Future,’ Christensen at Barcelona Unveiling

Former Chelsea center-back, Andreas Christensen has been officially unveiled as Barcelona’s latest signing.

Christensen signed a four-year contract with Barca and a £420 million release clause.

The Catalan club have also released pictures of Christensen with Barcelona President.

At the unveiling, the Danish center-back revealed his love for the club, “When I was 8 years old, I wrote my dreams for the future on a piece of paper to be a professional footballer and play for Barca & now I can say that I’m very proud,” he stated.

Asked how communications have been with his new Boss, He said,”The conversations are private, but Xavi told me that he likes my style of play and my personality, ”

“Xavi hasn’t asked me for anything special. I’m here because of who I am as a player and I think I fit in very well with Barca’s style. I don’t have to change although I do improve every day,” he continued.

‘I’m not the biggest or the strongest, so it will be important for me to use my head well to play here at Barca. From what I’ve been told, this can help me a lot,’ he added.

“Today we learned that, at the age of eight, you wrote on a piece of paper that you had a dream of playing for Barça,” he said.

“We want to have players who love the club. I wish you much success here on a collective and personal level.”

The 26 year-old center-half spent two seasons on loan at Bundesliga side Borussia Monchengladbach between 2015 and 2017 and also made 93 Premier League appearances during his time at Chelsea.
