According to the Chairman, 767 projects in the Northwest were valued at ₦112 billion, while 673 projects in the Northeast accounted for ₦158 billion.
He said the initiative was not just about monitoring but also about clawing back stolen funds and ensuring transparency in public service delivery.
The ICPC disclosed that recoveries in the Northwest included ₦7.269 billion, $1.066 million in foreign currency, 14 buildings, 25 plots of land, and three farmlands. In the Northeast, ₦43.3 million was retrieved.
The Commission stressed that these seizures were part of wider enforcement measures targeting abandoned or poorly executed intervention projects.
On accountability, Dr. Aliyu praised journalists for exposing abandoned projects, saying their vigilance helped ensure public resources reached intended beneficiaries.
