Egbetokun revealed this on Thursday during a meeting with senior police officers in Abuja. He explained that the President’s order gave him full authority to implement the withdrawal without interference or pressure from any VIP.
He stated that no VIP will be allowed to question or resist the recall of their security personnel since the instruction originated from the highest level of government.
The IGP urged officers to maintain professionalism and remain committed to securing lives and property nationwide. He emphasised the need for relentless, round-the-clock efforts to prevent criminal activities across the country.
Egbetokun added that the police will not relent in tackling ongoing security challenges and are working closely with other security agencies to improve national safety.
