Nigerian striker, Kelechi Iheanacho scored a last-minute goal to help the Super Eagles qualify for African Cup of Nations (AFCON 2023).

The game looked set to end in a 2-2 draw until Iheanacho tapped a dying-minute drive by defender Zaidu Sanusi into the back of the net.

Red-hot Napoli striker, Victor Osimhen had given the Super Eagles a two-goal led mid-way into the first half.

However, Mustapha Bundu reduced the deficit with a thunderous shot four minutes before the break.

Iheancho, who replaced wasteful Samuel Chukwueze on 71 minute grabbed all three points with virtually the last kick of the match.

The win confirms the Super Eagles as winners of the 2023 AFCON qualifier Group A with 12 points ahead of Guinea-Bissau with 10 points.

The AFCON 2023 to be hosted by Ivory Coast will hold from January 13 to February 11 2024 and will feature 24 teams.
