The Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle has revealed her ancestral background on the public stage.
In a recent episode of her podcast, Markle opened up on her genetic heritage that she is 43% Nigerian.
The podcast session was with American actress Issa Rae, Nigerian-American writer Ziwe Fumudoh, and professor Emily Bernards.

On how she identified her genetic root, Duchess of Sussex stated that she took a genealogy test which revealed that she is 43% Nigerian.
She said;
“I just had my genealogy done a couple of years ago.”
“I’m going to start to dig deeper into all of this because anyone that I’ve told, especially Nigerian women, are just like, what?”
Meghan, Duchess of Sussex is an American member of the British royal family and former actress.
She is the wife of Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex, and the younger son of King Charles III. Meghan was born and raised in Los Angeles, California.
