President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has reinstated his administration’s commitment to end terrorism, banditry, kidnapping and other criminal activities in Nigeria.

Tinubu stated this while speaking on Saturday during the 7th and 8th combined convocation of the Federal University Dutsin-Ma (FUDMA), Katsina State.

The president, who was represented by Prof. Abdulkarim Mohammed, Vice Chancellor, Federal University Dutse (FUD), said the government was greatly concerned about the security situation in the country, saying that his administration was fully committed to defeat terrorism, kidnapping, banditry and other criminal activities, especially in northern part of the country.

He, however, explained that this could not be achieved without the support and cooperation of all Nigerians.

According to him: “Security is a collective responsibility. I therefore appeal to all Nigerians to join hands with the government by giving useful information to security agents on suspicious persons and miscreants.

“Let us keep the hope alive and be optimistic, by the grace of God, we shall overcome these challenges,”
