The Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike, has expressed joy over the award bestowed on him by President Muhammadu Buhari.

Wike stated this in Port Harcourt on Monday, during a dinner/reception in his honour to celebrate the ‘Distinguished Award in Infrastructure Delivery’ bestowed on him by President Buhari.

The governor said he feels proud that the All Progressive Congress thinks he has done well.

“So I thank all of you and I dedicate this Award to God Almighty and to all of you who prayed for us to achieve what we have achieved. The Award is not to me, it is to all of you.

“I feel proud to say if the ruling party can say you have done well, who is that person? Let them come and campaign here,” he said.

Wike added that he would leverage his award to campaign in the forthcoming general elections, revealing that no other party can come to Rivers State to campaign.
