Following the increase in the price of diesel, Nigerian artist Paul Okoye, also known as Rudeboy, has claimed that he paid N1.4 million on the petroleum commodity.
Rudeboy, a member of the P-Square music group, revealed this on his Instagram story on Wednesday, calling diesel “the new luxury.”
“Ordinary house, I’m spending 1.4 million Naira on diesel,” he wrote (Generator and diesel.) “The new opulence.”
Due to the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, the price of diesel has recently risen. The failure of Nigeria’s national grid has exacerbated the problem, resulting in blackouts in several sections of the country.
