Governor Hope Uzodimma is enjoying an early lead as results for the Imo governorship election trickle in.
Daily Report Nigeria reports that the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), is head and shoulders above his opponents as of the close of collation on Saturday.
Results obtained from 90 polling units in the state showed that the governor is well placed to reclaim the seat for a second term.

Uzodimmna polled 22,113 votes ahead of the Peoples Democratic Party’s Samuel Anyanwu with 1,452 votes.
Also, Labour Party’s Senator Athan Achonu stands above Anyanwu with 1,658.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), will continue the collation of votes on Sunday in the election that was marred by violence and disruption.
