Results of the Imo State Governorship Election
Results of the Imo State Governorship Election have begun to trickle in, with the incumbent, Hope Uzodinma, in the lead.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has announced that voting has ended in all polling units in the state, and that results are being collated.
So far, Uzodinma of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has won in 13 local government areas, while his closest rival, Emeka Ihedioha of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has won in 10 local government areas.

The election was largely peaceful, with no major incidents reported.
The results of the election are expected to be announced later today.
