India Offers 250 Fully-Funded Scholarships to Nigerians for Professional Training

  • The Government of India has offered 250 fully-funded scholarships to Nigerians under the Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation (ITEC) Programme, running from April 2025 to March 2026.

  • The programme includes various professional training courses, with applications to be submitted online via the ITEC programme.

The Government of India has announced the provision of 250 fully-funded scholarship slots to qualified Nigerian applicants through its Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation (ITEC) Programme.

The training initiative is scheduled to run from April 2025 to March 2026.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the programme is designed to offer professional training across multiple sectors, and interested Nigerians are urged to apply online via the official ITEC website: www.itecgoi.in. A list of available training courses is provided at https://itecgoi.in/upcoming_courses.

“The Ministry of Foreign Affairs wishes to invite qualified Nigerians to apply for fully-funded scholarship offers in different areas of professional training sponsored by the Government of India,” said Ministry spokesperson Kimiebi Ebienfa. He added, “According to the High Commission of India in Abuja, there are two hundred and fifty (250) slots for qualified Nigerians.”

The programme is being coordinated by the Indian High Commission in Abuja as part of efforts to enhance bilateral relations and capacity development.
