Indian authorities have uncovered a drug trafficking network allegedly managed by a group of Nigerian nationals, following a string of coordinated raids across the Delhi-NCR region over the weekend.

According to The Times of India, police arrested three suspects, including two Nigerian women, believed to be at the center of a cocaine and MDMA distribution operation. The suspects, identified as Precious and Gift, were apprehended by officers from the Crime Unit, Sector 43, near Bakhtawar Chowk.

Investigators said the women had been residing at Food Empire, near the Bajaj showroom on Devli Road in Delhi, from where they allegedly coordinated deliveries to clients in Gurgaon and parts of Delhi.

“A total of 39 grams of MDMA, classified as a commercial quantity, was recovered from their possession,” one police officer told reporters. The suspects were charged under Section 21(C) of the NDPS Act at Sadar Police Station, Gurgaon.

Further investigations revealed that the women had entered India on medical visas about two years ago but stayed illegally after their visas expired. Besides drug trafficking, police claimed they were also involved in sex work around MG Road at night.

Acting on intelligence gathered from their interrogation, a team led by Inspector Narendra conducted another raid on Sunday morning at a building in Khanpur Extension, Delhi, with support from the Delhi Police.

The operation resulted in the discovery of additional drugs and materials used in processing them. Items seized included 22 grams of white MDMA, 3 grams of brown MDMA, 9 grams of cocaine, an electronic weighing scale, packaging materials, and several mobile phones.

During the raid, another Nigerian woman, identified as Joy, was found at the premises. Police said her boyfriend, believed to be a major supplier, had fled the area a day before the raid.

“The entire building had been rented by Nigerians who were running a drug manufacturing and distribution operation,” Inspector Narendra explained. “They produced MDMA and cocaine using chemical substances and distributed them nationwide through the dark web.”

This latest development adds to a growing list of arrests involving Nigerian nationals in India’s anti-drug operations. Earlier in October, the Mumbai Police’s Anti-Narcotics Cell (ANC) apprehended a Nigerian man after seizing 523 grams of cocaine worth approximately ₹5.23 crore, equivalent to about ₦861 million, during a dawn raid.
