The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has released dates for the issuance of certificates of return to governors-elect, deputy governors-elect, and state Houses of Assembly members-elect.
Festus Okoye, chairman of INEC’s Information and Voter Education Committee made the revelation in Abuja on Saturday.
According to a statement by Okoye, the electoral umpire has fixed March 29 to March 31 for the ceremony.

This was under the commission’s Electoral Act 2022.
The commission would on March 29, Thursday, March 30 and Friday, March 31 give Certificates of Return to candidates who were elected on March 18.
It however announced that a date of issuance for those elected by Resident Electoral Commissioners and Administrative Secretaries would be communicated in due time.
The statement read:
“By the provisions of Section 72(1) of the Electoral Act 2022, the Commission is mandated to issue a certificate of return within 14 days to every candidate who has been returned elected under the law.
“Pursuant to the provision, the Commission has fixed Wednesday, March 29, Thursday, March 30, and Friday, March 31 for the issuance of Certificates of Return to those elected on March 18.
“The presentation will take place in INEC offices in each state of the federation.”
