Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party in the 2023 general election, has alleged that the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, shifted the goalpost in the middle of the game during the poll.

DAILY REPORT NG recalls that before the election, the electoral umpire had on many occasions promised to electronically transmit election results, but ended up being collated manually.

Addressing the media on Monday, the former Anambra state governor blamed INEC for his defeat saying the electoral umpire ‘shifted the goalpost in the middle of the game.”

He, however, vowed that “We are not giving up,” adding that “This is just the beginning of our quest for a new Nigeria

“We are now effectively in the opposition,”
