INEC Suspends Sokoto REC | Daily Report Nigeria

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has suspended the Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) in Sokoto State, Dr Nura Ali.

INEC’s Secretary, Rose Orlaran-Anthony, on Monday addressed both the Resident Electoral Commissioner and the Administrative Secretary in the state.

According to the suspension letter, Ali was directed to stay away from the Commission’s office in Sokoto State with immediate effect until further notice.

The commission further instructed the Administrative Secretary, Hajiya Aliyu Kangiwa to take full charge of the office in the state till further notice.
