Despite the setback, Nwabali had been included in Nigeria’s squad for the friendlies against Ghana and Mali scheduled for Saturday.

The 27-year-old goalkeeper showcased his talent during the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Cote d’Ivoire.

The Super Eagles are set to take on Ghana at the Stade de Marrakech on March 22, followed by a friendly against Mali at the same stadium four days later.
