A former member of the House of Representatives in Ogun State, Hon. Oladidupo Adebutu, has urged Nigerians to desist from actions that can jeopardize the unity of the country.

The former lawmaker gave the advice in his Christmas message on Saturday.

According to Adebutu: “the security challenges facing Nigeria this time should not be used as an avenue to divide the nation along ethnic lines.”

The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain added: “I urge you to continue in this spirit of love because it is only by living in peaceful and harmonious co-existence that we are truly celebrating the essence of Christmas,”
