Inter Milan’s 2-1 victory over rivals AC Milan on Monday night sealed their 20th Serie A title.

The Nerazzurri took the lead in the first half through Francesco Acerbi’s header, then extended it after the break thanks to Marcus Thuram’s goal at the San Siro.

AC Milan managed to pull one back late in the game with Fikayo Tomori’s goal, but it wasn’t enough to change the outcome.

In a heated finish to the match, tempers flared, leading to red cards for AC Milan’s Theo Hernandez and Davide Calabria, along with Inter’s Denzel Dumfries.

Simone Inzaghi’s side now holds a commanding 17-point lead over second-place AC Milan, with only five fixtures remaining in the season.
