Some Internally Displaced Persons in the Banki area of Bama Local Government Area, Borno state, on Monday embarked on a protest over hunger as authorities have failed to supply them food items.

The displaced individuals lamented on how they’ve been left to deal with severe hunger.

It was learnt that cars and other valuables around the incident community was destroyed out of frustration as they protested their ordeal.

An anonymous resident also disclosed that the affected persons were very angry on how they have not been fed.

However, no casualties as at this time of report have been recorded due to the protest.
