Foremost Nollywood actor, Chiwetalu Agu was handed over to the Department of State Services by the Nigerian Army.

Daily Report Nigeria recalls that the veteran comic actor was reportedly released by the Nigerian Army according to a post by actor Emeka Ike.

However, in a statement on Friday, the DSS said Agu was handed over to them for further investigation.

DSS Spokesman, Dr Peter Afunaya, who refused to give details on the issue said “Army brought him to us. Justice will take its course.”

Agu was caught on camera being manhandled by operatives of the Nigerian around Upper Iweke in Onitsha, Anambra State, on Thursday for allegedly wearing an outfit with semblance to the Biafra flag.

Anambra has witnessed incessant killing of Igbos in recent time, prominent among whom is Dr Chike Akunyuli, husband to former NAFDAC Director-General, Dora Akunyili.

While Nigerian authorities say the secessionist group is behind the , IPOB has persistently denied that claim.
