IPOB, ESN Out to Destroy me - DCP Abba Kyari | Daily Report Nigeria

Embattled Deputy Commissioner of Police, Abba Kyari has pointed accusing fingers at the Indigenous People of Biafra and the Eastern Security Network as responsible for his current plight.

The celebrated super cop said this to a police panel during an interrogation that the secessionist groups are on a campaign to smear his reputation.

Daily Report Nigeria can recall that Abba Kyari was suspended by the Nigerian Police Force in 2021 over alleged link to international fraudster, Ramon Abass aka Hushpuppi.

A copy of the report seen by Daily Report Nigeria read in part, “The officer did not deny violating social media (policy) of the police. The officer (Kyari) stated that ‘It is a campaign to smear his reputation by members of IPOB/ESN who moved to destroy him due to his onslaught against them in the South-East’.

The report already sent to the Attorney-General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami (SAN), further disclosed how members of a syndicate led by Hushpuppi paid N235, 120, 000 to Kyari’s younger brother.

It also indicated that Kyari channelled about N44m to his brother’s bank account in multiple transactions.

The report however, did not show if Kyari’s brother was acting as a proxy for the embattled super cop brother, who is currently held in custody by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency.

Kyari was declared wanted and finally arrested by the NDLEA over an attempt to sell part of a 25kg cocaine, which was seized from some drug dealers in Enugu, while serving a suspension.
