According to him, Iran had amassed a large number of missiles and was planning attacks across the Middle East, including a potential strike against Israel.
Trump further alleged that if Iran had obtained nuclear weapons, it would have used them against Israel, leading to a massive assault in the region.
The US president described the military operation as a pre-emptive strike, aimed at stopping what he called an imminent nuclear threat from Tehran.
However, Trump did not present any evidence to substantiate his claims that Iran was preparing an attack against the United States or its allies.
