Former Ekiti state governor, Ayodele Fayose has criticized President Muhammadu Buhari for claiming that his administration has lifted several Nigerians out of poverty.
President Buhari, during his Democracy Day speech stated that his administration has successfully in lifted over 10 million of Nigerians out of poverty.
Fayose, in a reaction via microblogging platform, Twitter took a swipe at the President branding his claim as a ‘Presidential lie’.

The Chieftain of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party, PDP said;
“I’m sure what he meant to say was that he has lifted 10.5m Nigerians out of wealth into poverty, death and anguish. Buhari has impoverished Nigerians and caused disunity in the country more than any leader in our history.”
“That claim of lifting 10.5m Nigerians out of poverty is “Presidential Lie” or in local slang, “Lori iro”.
June 12, the new Democracy Day in Nigeria was greeted with ‘Buhari Must Go’ protests across major cities in the country.
