However, in a follow-up video posted to his Instagram page on Wednesday, Speed Darlington explained that the controversial statement was a stunt aimed at promoting his latest single.

He emphasized that the claim was not real but intended to stir controversy and drive engagement.

“To everyone upset about that video, I’m an entertainer. I need controversy to survive. If you’re not trending, you’re not getting booked,” he said, adding that the track he was promoting contained explicit content, and the shock factor was a strategy to match the song’s theme.

He concluded his statement by apologizing to fans and anyone who felt offended by the viral clip.
