President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has once again made a statement concerning the increments of minimum wage.

Speaking during a statement at a dinner to celebrate 25 years of Nigeria’s 25 years of democracy on Wednesday night, June 12, he noted that he would approve a minimum wage not more than what he, and other Nigerians can afford

He said;

“I have to celebrate with you my dear brother, Senate President, Deputy Senate President. The minimum wage is going to be what Nigerians can afford, what you can afford and what I can afford. Cut your coat according to your size, if you have size at all,”

He also added that hell try to reduce the price of food commodities by tackling bandits who have forced farmers away from their farms.

In related news, popular Nigerian rapper, Folarin Falana, better known as Falz The Bhad Guy has expressed his disappointment at the government over the minimum wage “saga”.
