Well-wising Nigerians have donated over four million naira (N4.6m) to veteran Nollywood actress, Margaret Bandele Olayinka, popularly known as Iya Gbonkan to purchase a car.
The overwhelming amount will also cover Iya Gbonkan’s housing project.
The actress had earlier made a public appeal for assistance to complete her old house and purchase a car, which caught the attention of Prophet Gabriel Agbala.

Prophet Gabriel, a cleric, took to his Facebook Live on Tuesday to solicit funds from kind-hearted individuals around the world.
His efforts yielded almost N5 million in donations for Iya Gbonkan’s project.
Gabriel said on his Facebook page on Wednesday:
“N4.1 million for IYA GBONKAN HOUSE. N650,000 for MAMA ABENI AGBON. N650,000 for Mama Tamotiye
“N500k on the ground for Mama Gbonkan’s car, work has started already, OSHOGBO. We are coming by Friday, next week.”
The actress in return thanked everyone for their financial support in Yoruba.
Iya Gbonkan said:
“I’m thankful and I don’t have power; you are my backbone; you will not get tired.
“My master will not get you tired, and you will not be indebted for the good thing you are doing to me.
“In the name of God, you will have enough to spend. You will not have pain, and in the name of God, you will not go blind.”
