The Ijaw Youth Council, Obotebe Clan, has condoled with the Pere of Akugbene Mein Kingdom, His Royal Majesty Pere S. Luke (JP), Kalanama VIII, over the demise of his wife.
Daily Report reported that Queen Gloria Luke died on Sunday, October 2, 2022.
In a statement by its Chairman, Comrade Andaowei Okou, the youth group described the death of Queen Gloria as painful.

The statement reads;
“The Ijaw Youth Council (IYC) Obotebe Clan receives with utmost shock the demise of ; Queen Gloria Luke (JP).
“Indeed, Queen Gloria was a patriot who exemplified wisdom, humility and warmth and was very committed to peace, unity and community development, an exemplary leadership trait that has been evident in His Majesty’s reign as the King of the ancient Akugbene Mein Kingdom.
“We are saddened by the death of Queen Gloria whose excruciating death is coming at a time Akugbene Mein Kingdom and the entire Ijaw nation needed her wealth of experience on handling issues affecting our people.
“The IYC expresses its heartfelt condolence to His Royal Majesty Pere S. Luke (JP), Kalanama viii and the people of Akugbene Mein Kingdom.
“Once more, may the good Lord gives His Royal Majesty’s family and the people of Akugbene Mein Kingdom, the fortitude to bear this irremediable loss.”
