The Ijaw Youth Council (IYC) Gbaramatu Clan has commenced a skills empowerment initiative for youths across the kingdom.
IYC Gbaramatu Clan Chairman, Comrade Wazo Oyinkuro Zikurebai, made this known during a situation report meeting on Sunday at Egbema-Gbaramatu Development Centre.
Intimating stakeholders and youth leaders alike on the progress of his administration, Wazo announced that eleven youths across the kingdom would benefit from the “Skill Up” initiative following a rigorous screening process.
According to Wazo, the IYC Gbaramatu Clan will pay the training fees for beneficiaries, who are set to be trained on various skills including baking, fashion design, barbing, web design, catering, makeover, hairdressing, etc.

The initiative aimed at raising resourceful youths across the kingdom received applause from critical stakeholders present at the meeting.
Wazo and his executives were charged to chart on the path of consistency by attendees at the meeting.
Recall that the Wazo led IYC Gbaramatu Clan was inaugurated on April 12, 2024.
