IYC Zonal Chairmen Congratulate Ineife, Okotete on Central Zone, Forum Chairmanships | Daily Report Nigeria

The Ijaw Youth Council (IYC) Zonal and Chapter Chairmen Forum (Western, Central, Eastern zones, Abuja and Lagos chapters) has congratulated Comrade Peres Ineife on his election as chairman of Central Zone.

The forum also congratulated Comr. (Dr) Doubra Collins Okotete on his emergence as new chairman of the forum.

Okotete replaces Clever Inodu, who is the immediate past Chairman of Central Zone as a result of the election of Ineife.

This was contained in a statement on Saturday by Secretary of the Forum and Chairman IYC Abuja Chapter, Chief Adam Marbo.

It read in part;
“As practiced by the forum, the Western zone chairman steps in automatically as chairman of the forum while the chairman Abuja and northern Nigeria chapter Chief Diplomat Adam Ebimobowei Ogomugo Marbo still retains his position as secretary of the forum.

“The forum also sends her congratulatory message to the new IYC Chairman of Central Zone Comr. Peres Ineife and his new executive and welcoming him into the chairmanship forum while thanking the outgone chairman Comr. (Engr.) Clever Inodu for his selfless and impactful services to central zone and the entire Ijaw Nation at large.

“Comr. (Dr) Doubra Collins Okotete- Chairman IYC Western Zone, while accepting his new leadership role as Chairman of all chairmen across the zones and chapters in Ijaw Nation thanked his colleagues (fellow zonal and chapter chairmen) for finding him worthy to lead the forum.

“In the same vein congratulates the Sir Jonathan Lokpobiri’s led National Leadership of the IYC, pledged total support and prayed for a harmonious working relationship between the clans, zones, chapters, parliament and the national leadership for the overall developmental growth of the entire Ijaw Nation.

It “Urged council members to remain focused to the ideals of the Kaiama Declaration and advised leadership from the clans to the National Executive Council to put the interest of IYC first in all their dealings.

The forum hopes “that with the Sir Jonathan Lokpobiri’s led leadership, the IYC will redeem his image and chart a new path towards a one united and progressive Ijaw Nation.”
