The development followed an ongoing admission policy meeting chaired by the Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Education, David Adeho in Abuja.

The examination body explained that each institution has the right to set its cut-off points, but none of them must have a minimum score of 100 for the Faculty of Education, 100 for the Polytechnic Institute, and 140 for the University.
