Sky Sports pundit Jamie Carragher believes Manchester City still holds an advantage over Arsenal in this season’s Premier League title race.
After a thrilling 2-2 draw at the Etihad, where John Stones scored a dramatic equalizer in the 98th minute, the competition remains fierce.
City has won the title three out of the last four seasons, while Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal finished as runners-up in the past two campaigns.
Despite Arsenal becoming the first team to take points off Pep Guardiola’s side this season, City maintains a two-point lead after five matches.
“I think Manchester City has a bit more to offer. If Arsenal had managed to hold on, it would have come from a set-piece goal, which they are very good at, as we saw last week against Tottenham. But you can’t rely on set-pieces every week,” Jamie Carragher noted on The Gary Neville podcast.
“Sometimes it comes down to the quality of the players and finishing, and I believe City has the edge there.”
