Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher has shared his predictions for the Premier League top six this season, and Chelsea, who finished sixth last year, did not make his list.
Carragher, as reported by FourFourTwo, has Manchester City topping the table again, with Arsenal in second place. Liverpool is predicted to finish fourth, while Tottenham Hotspur is expected to secure fifth place. Manchester United and Aston Villa are forecasted to complete the top six, leaving Chelsea out.
The 2024-25 Premier League season kicks off on Friday night with Manchester United facing Fulham at Old Trafford.
Discussing his prediction for Liverpool, Jamie Carragher mentioned to FourFourTwo, “I was quite surprised Liverpool came so close last season. With a new manager adjusting to the Premier League, most Liverpool fans would expect a top-four finish this year, but I don’t think anyone is expecting a title just yet.”
