In May, rumors of grief spread like wildfire, indicating that Jimmy’s ( as he was fondly called) health had taken a critical turn and his loved ones were preparing for the worst.

However, Foxx’s daughter, Corrinne boldly debunked the unfounded rumours.

She had said:

Sad to see how the media runs wild. My Dad has been out of the hospital for weeks, recuperating. In fact, he was playing pickleball yesterday!”

According to her, the actor was ready to continue his professional endeavors, including launching her long-awaited new TV show, We Are Family.

She reassured the public that her 55-year-old father had returned home from the hospital after a few weeks of his ordeal and that he was in good health.

Foxx’s Chicago outing marked a triumphant moment in his recovery journey, leaving his loyal fans elated and excited to witness his continued success in the entertainment industry.

The famous actor received acclaim for his portrayal of Ray Charles in Ray (2004), for which he won an Academy Award, a BAFTA, a Screen Actors Guild Award, and a Golden Globe for Best Actor.

In the same year, he was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role in the crime drama, Collateral.
