Former Nigeria captain Austin Jay Jay Okocha has shared his view on the long-standing debate over who is the greatest footballer of all time, Lionel Messi or Cristiano Ronaldo.

For nearly two decades, the rivalry between Messi and Ronaldo has dominated football discussions, with the two stars sharing a combined 13 Ballon d’Or awards.

Messi has claimed eight of those titles, while Ronaldo has taken home five.

In a recent interview with Pulse Fun Facts, Jay Jay Okocha revealed that he favors the Argentina captain, citing Messi’s natural style of play as his reason.

“They are both GOATs, but my personal GOAT is Messi because he looks more natural to me,” Okocha explained.

This year, both Messi and Ronaldo were notably absent from the Ballon d’Or nominations, signaling the possible end of an iconic era in football.
