Jegede Files Petition Against Governor Akeredolu’s Victory In Ondo Election

The PDP governmenorship candidate Eyitayo Jegede, in the October 10 governorship election in Ondo State, has filed petition at the tribunal challenging the victory of Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu.

Jegede who faulted the emergence of Akeredolu during Party’s primaries, also alleged that the election was marred by irregularities and pockets of violence and intimidation.

The PDP governorship candidate also asked the tribunal to declare him winner of the election following the issues he raised in his petition.

Other defendants in the petition are; the All Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) the All Progressives Congress and the Deputy Govenor- elect, Lucky Aiyedatiwa.
